Laura Kluwak-Sobolewska, piano
Anna Ziółkowska, violin
Monika Baranowska, cello

The Poznań Piano Trio was formed by three young Poznań-based female instrumentalists of the rising generation, after a successful début recital in Carnegie Hall in New York by the violinist and pianist of the ensemble. The pianist Laura Kluwak-Sobolewska is a Professor at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, the violinist Anna Ziółkowska appears as a soloist and is concertmaster of the Tadeusz Szeligowski Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, and the cellist Monika Baranowska also plays with the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, after serving in the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio. Members of the trio, apart from giving regular concerts, have enjoyed success in various music competitions, both as soloists and in chamber ensembles. As chamber musicians, they have performed in many famous concert halls both in Poland and abroad. They regularly receive invitations to participate in prestigious festivals and artistic events, as well as requests to give world première performances of works by contemporary composers. In 2011 the Acte Préalable label released the Poznań Piano Trio’s first volume of a series dedicated to Polish piano trios composed in the twentieth century, including works by Tadeusz Szeligowski, Andrzej Koszewski, and Andrzej Panufnik. Their other recordings include Chopin’s Piano Trio, recorded to celebrate the Year of Chopin in 2010.
