Tatiana Primak-Khoury is a Ukrainian-Lebanese pianist. She began her concert career in her native Ukraine before extending her activities to performances in Europe, the United States and the Middle East. A laureate of national and international piano competitions, she graduated with honours from the Kiev Lysenko Special Music School in 1991, going on to study for a Master’s degree at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev in 1996.

In 1998 she moved to Lebanon, and has since been committed to expanding the boundaries of her traditional repertoire, constantly searching for and adding new contemporary works by Ovchinnikov, Rautavaara, Saygun and Panufnik among many others. She also explores rarely heard works by Ukrainian and Lebanese composers such as Lyatoshynsky, Ishchenko, Kolodub, Lysenko, Kosenko, Skoryk, Stankovych, Liashenko, Anis Fuleihan, Toufic Succar, Georges Baz, Bechara El-Khoury, Abdalla El-Masri, and Gabriel Yared. Her release of Lebanese Piano Music, recorded in 2016, a co-production with BR-Klassik released on Grand Piano, has received international critical acclaim.

Married to Lebanese composer Houtaf Khoury, she has given several premieres of his piano works including Piano Concerto No. 1 with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine in 1996, Piano Concerto No. 2 ‘Angel of Light’ with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in 2012, four piano sonatas and other works. In addition to her performing career, Primak-Khoury serves as artist-in-residence at the University of Balamand in Lebanon, and teaches at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music.
