Kenneth Keaton
American Record Guide, March 2017

…we have to thank Adam Levin for this. Every piece except the Abril was dedicated to him, and he gave the world premieres. And his performance cannot be faulted—huge dynamic and timbral range, deeply moving phrasing, committed virtuosity. He can be wildly dramatic, but never overplays. It’s hard to imagine these performances being improved on, but that’s just what I (and he) would love to see as this wonderful music gets discovered. © 2017 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide

Certainly there are some impressive pieces here. Highlights include Torres’ exploration of the guitar’s capabilities of both inward focus and extroversion, Godoy’s use of the instrument to evoke deep sadness before he dispels it with brilliant figurations, and Durán-Loriga’s evocation of Baroque dances (which compares interestingly with Bullard’s banjo performance of actual Baroque works). © 2016 Infodad.com Read complete review

Grego Applegate Edwards
Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review, December 2016

These are compelling modern abstractions with traditional folk and improvisational feels mixed in with bold dashes of the contemporary. All but one were written especially for Levin and are dedicated to him. He returns the favor with dedicated, intricately realized performances that do full justice to the music. © 2016 Gapplegate Classical-Modern Music Review Read complete review
